Happy Sunday everyone!!!  I am wondering what you has found to replace the chips and cracker craving?  I can do without the sweet things but the chips and crackers have become my downfall again.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Hi, depends what I want - need I use veggie chips (like Terra chips types), pork skin chips. Surprisingly fried pork skin is great with salsa, and they are not bad calories wise.

I also use sliced veggies - like cucumber or zucchini, or yellow squash. Or I make my own parmesan cheese crackers...

With the higher calorie items (veggie chips, pork skin, parmesan chips ) I try to measure a portion and eat no more than that, (many times 1 oz is too much).

There are recipes on line how to make zucchini chips. I think you can google that.

I like the veggie chips and the carbmaster crackers with lite cream cheese.  I love the BBQ pork skins too!  I have even baked chedder cheese in the oven for my version of cheeze-its.

That sounds good Tess.  How long do you bake it for?

It doesn't take long at all.  I cut little 1/2 inch cubes and lay them down on parchment paper.  I put them in the oven at 300 degrees for about 6 minutes bu****ch your oven because everyone's is a little different.  They may take longer or shorter amount of time in your oven.  You want them to melt and spread out and kind of get a orange color edge around them.  These are great for a crunchy snack and full of protein too!
